Galileo Galilei is an Italian astronomers. He improved the telescope and assisted him to reach the new level understanding of the space, the galaxy, the universe around us. Then, he found the four most massive moons of Jupiter, now they known as the ‘Galilean moons’. Besides, he also  made the first recorded studies of the planet Neptune.  He let us know about what is solar system and our world (Earth) is moving around the Sun.
The law of motion, or even the first working thermometer were also invented by him.
He got blind when he was in house arrest (Galileo became completely blind by the age of 74.)
Galileo Galilei was the oldest son of the six children in his family. His father Vincenzo, born in Florence, was a musician and a music teacher, and married to Galilei’s mother Guilia, who was from Pisa, in 1563. They lived in the countryside of Pisa where Galileo spent most of his childhood. When he grew older, Galilei never got married, however he did have a relationship with Marina Gamba who delivered him 3 children, two girls and one boy. It has been told that they never got married because of Galilei’s financial instability, and his concerns regarding his social standing since they had three children before marriage. As his daughters grew older Galilei became more worried about his daughters finding the right people for marriage because of his career and social standing and suggested them to become nuns. In 1610 Galilei left Padua and moved to Florence and left his son to live with Marina. After a few years Marina decided to get married and their son decided to move to Florence and live with Galilei.

He is Father of modern science. But he was confused on choosing career between catholic priest and doctor of medicine when he was young, he then chose medicine. The reason he study mathematics later on was he thought that is more interesting and it was really important for us to understand our world. He also proved that science is not a opposite to religious doctrine but evidence to strengthen it.  As his father is a musician, Galileo is also a skilled lute player. He then arrest in his own villa, his wardens still permitted him to teach pupils, pursue his studies and receive visitors. Although he dedicate his whole life to science and let people have a brand new idea of what surrounding our world but he was conceited, contentious, self opinionated, obstinate, tricky and given over alcohol and women and finally blind.
